We are on a mission to develop innovative software systems for games, and we are looking for a passionate and driven Server Software Engineer (SE1) to join our team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with a team of experienced engineers, develop your skills, and contribute to the development of services that support live operations and online gameplay. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions for game requirements using modern technologies and frameworks deployed to cloud-based infrastructure. You will provide technical support, assist in establishing best practices, and foster innovation within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain dynamic, responsive, and visually appealing front-end components using React JS, Angular JS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality front-end solutions that align with the product vision.
- Integrate front-end components with back-end services, leveraging knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Apply creative problem-solving skills to improve user interfaces and enhance the overall user experience.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques, and evaluate their potential application in the development process.
- Provide support and mentoring to other team members on best practices for front-end development.
- Assist with backend development tasks when necessary, leveraging knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and NoSQL databases.
- Engage in performance testing and optimization of both front-end and back-end components.
- Track development deliverables and communicate their statuses and risks to global teams.
Qualification:
- 1-2 years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on React JS, Angular JS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Proven ability to build websites that are aesthetically pleasing, intuitive, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Knowledge of Core Java, Spring Boot, with experience in Web services development as a secondary focus.
- Familiarity with RDBMSes and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB.
- Basic understanding of large-scale distributed systems.
- Basic understanding with distributed caching solutions (Memcached, Redis).
- Basic knowledge of cloud environments like AWS or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of test-driven development and continuous integration.
- Ability to write maintainable, reusable clean code.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills; solution-oriented mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
